The 6 Week Retouch?

It is important to return after 6 weeks following your first visit for your follow up treatment. The follow-up is critical since it is what offers you the most long-term results. It will help smooth out any inconsistencies that developed throughout the healing process. It is common for some pigment strokes to recover with slightly less colour than others. There’s no need to worry about this because your retouch appointment will take care of it. This is also your chance to go darker with colour if you were too hesitant to do so during your first session.

Lastly, your retouch appointment offers a second opportunity to tweak the form. As a first-time semi-permanent client, you may have selected a safer, or thinner, form than you anticipated. Your follow-up will take care of everything.  Adjustments can be made at your request during your retouch session. You’ll also feel less anxious and you are already familiar with the treatment process.

The Annual Retouch?

After the skin has completely healed, layers of skin grow over the treatment area, which can result in a 30 to 70% lighter skin tone. Many people leave their first appointment concerned that the pigment is too dark; nevertheless, after their skin has healed, the colour should be flawless, even too light.

After a lengthy period of time, the body can occasionally fully absorb the pigment, and the semi-permanent tattoo disappears. In certain instances, the pigment may even change colour depending to a variety of factors like body chemistry or sun exposure.

The annual touch-up is a chance for us to correct any instances of these changes that may occur.  It’s also an opportunity for us to make any minor adjustments or alterations to the form.

Who is Retouching not suitable for?

We need to know if there are any changes to your health since your initial treatment. These might include but not limited too, diabetes, strokes,  skin conditions etc. Or you may be taking medication for example blood thinners.

I had my brows retouched at 6 weeks, I went a little darker this time and I am super happy with them. See you again at my next appointment. x
